Magda Goemans, PhD
Magda aims to build understanding and impact across diverse academic disciplines and non-profit sectors. She has participated in varied activities to support community-campus research partnerships, foster meaningful social learning across regions, and advance climate change mitigation/adaptation and disaster resilience efforts. Magda’s experience includes co-leading national-scale research and outreach projects with Community Campus Engage Canada, providing project coordination for flood risk and housing development research at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, and developing a Community-Based Social Marketing project for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
Chris Goemans, P. Eng, CD
Chris Goemans has extensive information technology and project management experience from his work with organizations including Sanmina and the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute. He has completed numerous private consulting projects dealing with manufacturing, enterprise resource planning systems, product data management systems, business information reporting, websites, and environmental/economic Life Cycle Analysis. With the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute, he has coordinated the development of the Impact Estimator for Buildings and Pavement. His other work includes web-enabling the Institute’s Life Cycle Cost Calculator, development of a data modelling, gathering and storage tool, and assessments of building designs using the Impact Estimator.
